Suzana is a seasoned leader in the tourism and events industry, boasting over 25 years of experience. She currently serves as the CEO of the Department of Tourism and Hospitality following her role of CEO of the Northern Territory Major Events Company. Throughout her career, she has held prominent leadership roles with some of Victoria’s most respected event organizations, including the Federation Square, the Australian Grand Prix Corporation and Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC).

An expert in crafting destination experience strategies, Suzana is a passionate advocate for leveraging partnerships to drive visitation and enhance the visitor economy. Her extensive involvement in the sector includes serving on numerous boards and committees, such as the Victorian Tourism Industry Council (VTIC) events committee, the Canberra International Music Festival Board, the Port of Echuca Board, and the Meetings & Events Australia Board.

Suzana is an alumnus of the Committee for Melbourne’s Future Focus Group program and has graduated from the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD). She holds a Graduate degree in Public Relations, a Master’s Degree in Advertising, and an Executive MBA from RMIT University, equipping her with a robust foundation to lead and innovate in the industry.
