The Darwin Waterfront Precinct is managed by the Darwin Waterfront Corporation. It is separate to the municipality of Darwin, which is managed by the City of Darwin council.
*Note: In March 2020, the Darwin Waterfront Corporation update the Liquor rules under s200 of the Liquor Act, by giving the following permission: The public is permitted to consume take-away alcohol products, only where purchased from licensed takeaway venue at the Darwin Waterfront Precinct (as specified under section 4 of the Darwin Waterfront Corporation Act 2006) in accordance with liquor licencing requirements and provided the products contain no glass (other than 750ml wine bottles, which are allowed).
